Elizabeth Weintraub Team Wins 5 Top Awards from Homelight

top 5 awards from homelight

Big surprise yesterday when we received 5 top awards from Homelight for 2018. Pictured here is Amy McMullan with Elizabeth Weintraub, and we sure miss Amy (who has since moved to Los Angeles). Homelight is a website company that refers sellers and buyers to agents in Sacramento, and they work only with top producers.

All agents are not the same. Clients are wising up to the fact that 90% of agents sell only 2 or 3 homes a year. Not us, of course.

Further, in the digital age, many websites compete for eyeballs on the internet, and those with the best SEO are winning. The Elizabeth Weintraub Team prefers to align ourselves with winners, so we stick with the companies our clients like. However, we were not expecting to win 5 top awards from Homelight. One is plenty, actually. read more

Improved Price for Woodsy Fair Oaks Pool Home on Acreage

woodsy Fair oaks pool home on acreage

As you turn onto Hillcrest heading to this woodsy Fair Oaks pool home on acreage, you will notice a stable for boarding horses. Many homes in Fair Oaks have horses; according to code one needs a minimum of 22,000 square feet for a horse. This particular home is situated on more than an acre at 1.37 acres, which is the equivalent of 59,677 square feet. Although some of the land is sloped. And let’s not forget there is a pool. Do horses swim? What would you do if a horse got into the pool? See, I do not know. Does Bojack Horseman know things? Ha. Besides, chlorine is probably not good for a horse’s coat, but having limited interaction with horses, I am not a person to ask about equine species.

However, if you want to know about buying a woodsy Fair Oaks pool home on acreage, I most certainly am the person to ask. As a Realtor who has lived through more than four decades of real estate, I am perhaps uniquely qualified. In fact, I was over at Mueller Animal Hospital on Saturday with Jackson our ragdoll. The doctor looked at the carrier with my business card taped to it, and said, “Oh, I have seen your signs around town.” Mentioning she knew that name from somewhere. Jackson has experienced a bit of distress that has been really persistent; nothing that $250 and medication can’t remedy.

One of the most unique features of this woodsy Fair Oaks pool home acreage is its location. Situated at the end of a country cul-de-sac. Very quiet. From Fair Oaks Blvd, you pass by mansions driving down Hillcrest until you come to rest at the top of the driveway. What you immediately spot is an authentic mid-century home, featuring walls of glass, nestled in a forest. There are 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, and dual master suites of similar sizes at opposite ends of the house. Making it a perfect multi-generational set up.

The sellers hauled in yards of soil to prepare the land for the pool, which is visible from many rooms. Sometimes baby Western Screech owls live nearby, and deer wander into the yard to rest in a sunny spot. If you want your home surrounded by nature, trees and wildlife, this is the home for you! Just listen to the wind whistle through the treetops and you hear nothing else except an occasional hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo. Those baby owls are just too cute.

A Little Sweat Equity to Finish a Home in Fair Oaks

home in fair oaks

Family room with stone fireplace at 5636 Dewey Dr.

The hermosa (beautiful) thing about la casa, this home in Fair Oaks, is it is ready to move into, even though they are a few minor things to finish, on top of being very affordable for the neighborhood. If you have your heart set on a home in Fair Oaks with cherry wood flooring throughout and granite counters in that remodeled kitchen and baths, you’re in luck. Even the cherry cabinets in the kitchen have glass. How is that for upgrades? You’ll also find grids in most of the dual pane windows. Plus, the lot is more than one third of an acre, 15,682 square feet, according to the assessor, which is huge.

Por supuesto, the home has 3 bedrooms and more than one bath. The cocina (kitchen) is an open galley, accessible at both ends, which means if you own un gato, that cat can race around and around, from the kitchen to the entry, to the living room, into the dining room and back into the kitchen, while stopping occasionally to spin its body into the air in excitement, like those psycho felines seem to behave from time to time, for no good reason, loco. I know you know what I mean.

5636 Dewey Dr is a remodeled home in Fair Oaks offered by Lyon.

Off the dining area is a set of wood French doors with glass that lead to the sunroom. The sunroom is primed and finished, except for the baseboards, floor covering, window and door trim, and final coat of paint. Most of the doors in the home need trim, and many of the windows could use trim, both inside and out. There are a few missing light fixtures, HVAC registers, but all of the materials to finish these items, the seller says, are located onsite. You just have to put them in. Very poco, minor things to finish in this home in Fair Oaks.

Some of the other stunning features are a beautiful stone fireplace with a gorgeous polished wood mantel in the family room. There is outside access from both the sunroom and the master bedroom. In the hallway, el cuarto de baño sports a stone floor and ceramic walls, plus a huge walk-in la ducha (shower). This home in Fair Oaks has been lovingly remodeled. And in the giant backyard, you’ll find the following fruit trees: orange, lemon, plum, apricot, lime, walnut, fig (white and red), pomegranate, cherry, grapefruit, peach and grape (white and red), and an exotic fruit tree the seller can’t remember the name of.

5636 Dewey Dr, Fair Oaks, CA 95628, is offered exclusively by Elizabeth Weintraub at Lyon Real Estate, at $265,000. If you’ve been waiting for a home in Fair Oaks that is remodeled and affordable, ha llegado tu hora (your time has come). Call Elizabeth at 916.233.6759 for more information or a private showing.

How to Hire an Extraordinary Sacramento Homebuying Agent

sacramento homebuying agent

An exceptional Sacramento homebuying agent from the Elizabeth Weintraub Team can find your home.

Hiring a Sacramento homebuying agent is more complicated today than it has ever been, especially for first-time home buyers, but there are top-tier professional agents in the business, if you can find them, who will make your home purchase oh-so-much easier and pleasant. You can choose to hire a mediocre Sacramento homebuying agent or an exceptional agent. Your choice. Many more mediocre agents in the business than the few exceptional. But if you make a mistake and hire the wrong agent, you can still call the Elizabeth Weintraub Team, and we will turnaround your bad decision like it never happened in the first place.

Many of the rules have changed for Sacramento real estate over the past 40 years, past 5 years and yes, even the past year. This Sacramento Realtor keeps her finger on the pulse. Real estate constantly evolves. Consumers are more empowered than ever before and can find much of the information they desire online — even if it’s incorrect it is helpful. To be a worthy asset to a home buyer’s purchase, an agent needs to add specific value. Without value, a Sacramento homebuying agent is just another cog in the wheel, causing unnecessary frustration.

Not us. The Elizabeth Weintraub Team focuses on the client. A homebuyer is not just a number to us. We strive to go beyond simply superior service because we add that PERSONAL TOUCH that is often missing. Home buyers are tired of receiving emails from MLS every day without personal input from an agent. Those days are gone long in our world. We don’t just email MLS listings to a buyer and fade back into the woodwork as we wait for them to get back to us. Only rookies and idiots do that and, from what I hear in the trenches, there are plenty of those to go around.

Why Not Hire an Extraordinary Sacramento Homebuying Agent Today?

We dig deeply into the psyche of the home buyer to wiggle out those hot buttons, those things a buyer might want in a home but can’t really verbalize. We figure out what is a “need” and what is a “want,” and we try to provide both without sacrificing quality. We make house calls or will meet with you at our offices. We listen. We educate. We inform.  No question is a stupid question. We realize that we hold access to mountains of knowledge acquired over decades, and we hold the keys to tremendous amounts of information, which we freely share with our buyers.

With us, no homebuyer is left feeling like an island, all alone, disrespected. We are there every step of the way. A successful Sacramento homebuying agent does not wait for the buyer to find the perfect home. Aren’t you tired of that approach? We find that home for our buyers through networking, uncovering new listings that are coming up, scouring our unusual private resources and constantly staying in touch. If a home buyer asks a question, we respond within minutes. No grass grows under our feet. Home buyers rule our world.

This is a super tough spring market for home buyers. Very few Sacramento homes for sale and tons of buyers fighting for that inventory. A good question to ask is: why do we get our purchase offers accepted when other agents do not? Give us a call, text or email. Discover that personal touch and top-notch negotiation services you deserve to get from working with an experienced Sacramento homebuying agent. We proudly serve a wide territory covering four counties. We know your neighborhood. Call Elizabeth Weintraub at 916.233.6759.
