Buying another computer at Best Buy has turned into quite a bit of work. This started Tuesday when I took my Dell XPS into the Geek Squad at Best Buy. I dropped it off to check the fan as it was not turning on. They said a few days and I would know the scope of work and have an estimate. Wednesday I received a call that it is not the fan and needed to be sent out as the motherboard was not functioning. Of course, I could not have my computer be out of service that long.
The solution, I decided to buy another computer. A helpful sales clerk walked me around to look at what was in stock. There was a computer that would work, so I bought it on the spot. Then a tech support package was needed so the data could be transferred to the new computer. Tonight another trip back to Best Buy to pick up the new computer! Three trips later and now we are putting the computer up and installing a 40-inch monitor.
Meet Weintraub & Wallace of the Sierra Oaks office of RE/MAX Gold. Yes, we have merged our teams to create a Super Team of Realtors in Sacramento. If Lyon had encouraged JaCi Wallace, she and I might have stayed at Lyon Real Estate. But as it is, she was already at RE/MAX Gold, after relocating a few years ago, and happy enough not to budge. Since she was not returning to Lyon, it meant my team and I would move to RE/MAX.
But that is not the only reason to join RE/MAX nor to team up to form Weintraub & Wallace. RE/MAX Gold was founded 25 years ago with just two offices and 40 agents. Today, the company has 63 locations, and over 1,350 of the industry’s most productive agents. Our new location is at 3620 Fair Oaks Boulevard, near the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Watt Avenue, but we are also free to work from the Midtown office next door to Waterboy on Capitol Avenue.
Big surprise yesterday when we received 5 top awards from Homelight for 2018. Pictured here is Amy McMullan with Elizabeth Weintraub, and we sure miss Amy (who has since moved to Los Angeles). Homelight is a website company that refers sellers and buyers to agents in Sacramento, and they work only with top producers.
All agents are not the same. Clients are wising up to the fact that 90% of agents sell only 2 or 3 homes a year. Not us, of course.
Further, in the digital age, many websites compete for eyeballs on the internet, and those with the best SEO are winning. The Elizabeth Weintraub Team prefers to align ourselves with winners, so we stick with the companies our clients like. However, we were not expecting to win 5 top awards from Homelight. One is plenty, actually.
Jefjen Way is a street in Elk Grove that backs to a school in Quail Ridge. This means the playground and the noise that goes along with that can be disturbing to residents who live on that side of the street. Fortunately, the last listing I took on Jefjen Way sold within 3 days with multiple offers, even in today’s softer buyer’s market.
We went on the market in early December, a time of the year when sales typically slow down. I would have preferred to list and sell the home in April, when our market was much stronger, but that did not happen. Oddly enough, I’ve been expecting to get the listing since April of 2018.
Are you looking for an a single-level home in Laguna Park priced under $350K? Then you’ve come to the right place. And you don’t have to make trade-offs or sacrifice anything on your home buying wish list. You can have it all in this popular Elk Grove neighborhood. Pride of ownership is evident throughout the neighborhood, and many homes are single-levels. No stairs, no levels, no step-downs, makes it easy on your knees, too.
This home in Laguna Park features 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. There is a front bedroom that could be used an office since it’s right next to the front door. The guest bath separates the two guest bedrooms. However, the master suite is secluded and away from the other two bedrooms. Which is especially nice if you have children, you can get a little peace in quiet in your master retreat.
When you walk in the front door, the first thing you will notice is how large the living room and dining room appear to be. A lovely fireplace with a ceramic surround is in the living room, and the vaulted ceiling makes the entertainment areas seem even larger. Look at all of that light in this space. Lots of windows.
Check out this great kitchen! Plenty of cabinets and there is space for a breakfast table. The refrigerator can stay as long as you ask for it in the purchase contract as personal appliances do not stay otherwise. If MLS says the refrigerator stays but buyers do not ask for it in the Residential Purchase Agreement, the seller is free to sell it on CraigsList.
