Best Elk Grove Realtor
What a vegetable garden we have this year. Just outside the Elk Grove City limits is a perfect place to live and nurture a vegetable garden. These raised planter beds have drip irrigation and organic topsoil.
The tall plants to the left climbing the iron sculptures are green beans. We pick bunches daily. There are lots of herbs and peppers, tomatoes and two kinds of squash. There are lemon cucumbers, english cucumbers as well as spaghetti squash. The strawberries and blackberries are always fresh picked and amazing with ice cream.
Seller signing escrow papers with a dog, my German Shepherd, at their side today was a sight to behold. This is not something I have ever done in over two decades of selling real estate. Well, there is a first for everything. I had booked an appointment today with the vet for my German Shepherd, Tangi at 9:45 AM with a quick chiropractor appointment for me after at 10: 00 AM. It is located 5 minutes from the vet’s office. What does all this have to do with a seller signing escrow papers with a dog? Well, everything.
This is a very special place where everyone that visits says 8109 Sloughhouse Rd is a stunning place in Elk Grove. Its history is a real-life love story. This lake is a symbol of that love. This short story below was told to me by someone who was there and knew these people well but I have not verified it.
There was a couple who were boyfriend and girlfriend for many years. She was a very bright woman who loved birds and orchids. She was a very active person, full of life. Her boyfriend was retired law enforcement whom I think must have had a heart the size of Texas. She had an accident which left her paralyzed. She sustained further injuries and had to be put on a respirator. Her boyfriend married her and they bought this ranch, 80 acres of paradise. He built her a house and created this lake. He dug out the dirt, planted the trees and plants, and he made the lake for her. It has a beautiful footbridge, a walking path, two islands, and a huge rock waterfall. This was important as it was what she would look at each day from her brick patio outside her room. She had to have 24-hour care.
Buying another computer at Best Buy has turned into quite a bit of work. This started Tuesday when I took my Dell XPS into the Geek Squad at Best Buy. I dropped it off to check the fan as it was not turning on. They said a few days and I would know the scope of work and have an estimate. Wednesday I received a call that it is not the fan and needed to be sent out as the motherboard was not functioning. Of course, I could not have my computer be out of service that long.
The solution, I decided to buy another computer. A helpful sales clerk walked me around to look at what was in stock. There was a computer that would work, so I bought it on the spot. Then a tech support package was needed so the data could be transferred to the new computer. Tonight another trip back to Best Buy to pick up the new computer! Three trips later and now we are putting the computer up and installing a 40-inch monitor.
Meet Weintraub & Wallace of the Sierra Oaks office of RE/MAX Gold. Yes, we have merged our teams to create a Super Team of Realtors in Sacramento. If Lyon had encouraged JaCi Wallace, she and I might have stayed at Lyon Real Estate. But as it is, she was already at RE/MAX Gold, after relocating a few years ago, and happy enough not to budge. Since she was not returning to Lyon, it meant my team and I would move to RE/MAX.
But that is not the only reason to join RE/MAX nor to team up to form Weintraub & Wallace. RE/MAX Gold was founded 25 years ago with just two offices and 40 agents. Today, the company has 63 locations, and over 1,350 of the industry’s most productive agents. Our new location is at 3620 Fair Oaks Boulevard, near the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Watt Avenue, but we are also free to work from the Midtown office next door to Waterboy on Capitol Avenue.
